Slavery is banned in name; however, companies are allowed to employ any number of unpaid interns or apprentices and it is a crime to not hold a job. Unpaid interns and apprentices enter into contract with any respective company and the company can alter the contract however they like and do not have to release employees from it. Although, it is mandated by law that these interns and apprentices be able to buy their own contract for a "reasonable" price.
