Brief Battle Report
Battle initiated by surprise attack on the CFS Vagabond by unknown enemy forces. Using this strike as a signal, unknown gunmen opened fire on officers and enlisted sailors aboard Rusav Station.
The attackers deployed dated but capable fighters and heavy fighters from an unknown origin point. The CFS Traveler, upon regaining crew members, returned their anti-fighter and point defense stations to operational status. Their efforts gave the CFS Volante the time required to recover their crew and pilots.
Upon recovering their crew and pilots, the CFS Volante deployed all but one flight of MK. 23 Lancers. During the sortie only 2 Lancers were knocked out of action. Flight 2 of Hangar B saw the birth of an Ace as did multiple other flights. After the crew returned their battle stations to operational status, Consul Ilana Parker ordered the charging of its 1.5m Rail Canons upon seeing the entrance of an unknown Claymore-Class Destroyer.
The siege lasted for four hours, ending when the CFS Volante opened fire on the unknown Claymore-Class Destroyer with her Rail Canons. The dual shot from the Volante rendered the enemy destroyer nonoperational. All crew aboard the enemy destroyer are assumed dead. Remaining enemy fighters retreated beyond the gravitational shadow of a nearby gas giant before using one of its moons to slingshot into The Pipe.
